DS version of Chrono Trigger is the best version! As for FF Chronicles, it’s worth having in a collection but there are better ways to play both the games on that disc. The load times on both of them make them unbearable.
Honestly, if I had FF Chronicles I would probably never actually play the disc. I mean the FF Anthology I have has never seen play and probably never will. I got it for 5 bucks, which is amazing, and I just like owning it. I’ve got FFIV both on GBA and DS so I think I’m covered. Then again, you’re talking to the girl who owns 6 copies of Ocarina of Time so…
I find it much more convenient to emu old games, especially since the hardware is becoming a lot older than I’d like to realize, and I want to hang on to the discs I have for, I guess, geeky sentimental purposes. I still have a PS2 that plays PSX games, but I’ve just downloaded roms of all the games I own since those can’t get scratched :)
Anyway. I’m really reconsidering investing in the DS version of Chrono Trigger, cos I didn’t realize there were new dungeons!
