fondly looking back upon that time I accidentally stumbled upon Anime Expo when I was 14.
my family had won a trip to disney land, which is why we were there, and in the end I filled up all my camera’s film with cosplays (before I knew it was called “cosplay,” and back before digital cameras were a thing) and just hung out at our hotel (which was the con hotel) instead of going to disney land.
that was my parents’ only exposure to anime fans so when I told mum I was going to anime north and making a costume I had to say, “like at that hotel in LA” and she was just like, “………… oh, that’s… nice.”
last night I had a very involved dream about contouring my cheekbones with various kinds of blush.
today a man I was serving at work asked me, “are you a mother yet?” (presumably to potentially wish me happy mother’s day) and I wanted to cry
oh god I look old enough to have children
oh god I’m almost in my mid twenties
what do you mean YET why are you assuming I want babbits
this is going to become a recurring theme in my life from now until death isn’t it
I finally got all my grades back and I officially passed all my classes which means I really did graduate after all!!!!!
UGH I’M SO RELIEVED
actually, these are the best grades I’ve gotten since high school. I guess working harder than you think you can does pay off sometimes…
I used to think that working the 8-4 shift would be better because then I have free time in the evening
turns out I can’t do anything with that free time anyway because I’m too exhausted and braindead after work to even play most video games wow how great
need to convince andrew to watch NGE with me so I have someone in real life to talk about it to D:
also so I have an excuse to watch it again sighhh
